Duties of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs:

The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs exercises the following authorities to facilitate the work of the associated administrative units:

  1. Assigning tasks to administrative and technical staff across all departments within the college according to work requirements and distributing them to ensure the college's interests and needs are met.
  2. Issuing orders for appointments, assignments, retirements, and resignations.
  3. Approving ordinary leave for technical and administrative staff, including contractors, for both domestic and international leave.
  4. Approving promotions for technical and administrative staff within the college.
  5. Authorizing additional university work for college employees and affiliates.
  6. Approving medical reports issued in Iraq and abroad for all college affiliates, provided the reports meet the standards and provisions of the Medical Leave System No. 76 of 1959 and its amendments.
  7. Issuing letters of appreciation and recognition for college staff, both technical and administrative, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  8. Facilitating necessary transfers within the college’s administrative personnel in coordination with the college administration and department heads, based on the needs of the public interest.
  9. Signing off on orders for annual leave, summer vacations, and legally determined retirement benefits for college retirees.
  10. Signing forms related to annual salary increases and promotions for administrative and technical staff.
  11. Granting maternity leave to female college staff in accordance with current decisions and instructions.
